MASS (for one)

MASS is a modular dance performed by many different people in many different spaces. MASS (for one) is performed and choreographed by Milka Djordjevich.

Milka Djordjevich is a dance artist based in LA. Her work has been shown at various venues in NYC, SF and LA and internationally in Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Serbia, and the UK. Djordjevich has co-authored works with composer Chris Peck and Serbian choreographer Dragana Bulut. Additionally, she has performed for Heather Kravas, Jennifer Monson, Elizabeth Ward, Sam Kim, and Natalie Green, among others. Djordjevich received a B.A. from UCLA and an M.F.A. from Sarah Lawrence College.

JIL STEIN is currently based in Los Angeles. JIL takes interest in the BODY in PERFORMANCE/ and the SPACE that comes out of  the corporealities of these moved experience.

Beyond Control

Beyond Control builds upon the visual and theoretical relations between water dams and how they manage a body of water, and the physical, legal, and psychological containment of a social body, call it a crowd, a riot, a community organization, or an individual citizen.

Beyond Control is performed by: Lauren Regina, Devon Stern, Eboni Houston,Victoria Wolfe, Maggie Jones and Rebeca Hernandez.

Rebeca Hernandez is a recipient of a 2012 National Performance Network/PAP grant  and she conducted a one-month residency in Mexico  She has choreographed and performed in the following venues and events in Los Angeles: Pacific Standard Time’s Trespass Parade; PERFORM! NOW! (curated by Dino Dinco) in collaboration with Fundacion Wanna Winni; MexiCali Art Biennial at Otis College of Art and Design and the Vincent Price Art Museum; L.A Road Concerts. Hernandez has performed with Compania Jorge Dominguez, Taller de Danza Contemporanea de la UABC and Allison Wyper.
