March 25: Afro-Brazilian Dance with Rosangela Silvestre
We are thrilled to host one of our favorites, Mestra Rosangela Silvestre! Rosangela will be teaching Afro-Brazilian “Body Nature Expression”, inspired by the Symbology of Movements, History and Archetypes of the Orixa Tradition in Brazil. Allow yourself to discover how sacred symbolism inspires the body to express its own memory; the activation of symbols and Codes of Movements that relate to Ancestral Memories.
Rosangela Silvestre is a choreographer, instructor, dancer and creator of the Silvestre Dance Technique. She is a native of Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Dance and post-graduated specializing in choreography, achieving her degree from the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA).
(Can’t make it to class live? Register anyway! You will receive a video recording of class so you can dance when works for you!)
