Registration for this workshop series is closed as we have reached capacity.

This workshop will be experimental in nature. It will build upon my Decolonizing Non-Violent Communication (DNVC) framework to explore the somatic embodiment of non-violence, however it is not necessary to be familiar with this framework in order to participate in this workshop.

I am intentionally choosing to work in an intensive style with a smaller group, so that I can be in the play of co-creating new DNVC curriculum. Registration is only available for the full series and not on a drop-in basis. Sessions will not be recorded.

The workshop will meet over three sessions: Saturday March 13th, Sunday March 14th and Saturday March 20th, 1:00pm-3:30pm PST respectively. Due to limited capacity, we kindly ask that before registering please ensure that you are able to be present on all three days.

Accessibility Note: Automated captioning provided. Proficiency in spoken and written English will be needed in order to fully access workshop content.

I encourage you to register if you are familiar with my work and if it sparks curiosity and interest to be with me in this play. This workshop will be best suited for folks who feel a gentle desire to explore and connect deeper with their body. If you experience a sense of overwhelm or fear at the thought of moving into connection with your body’s sensations, please know there is nothing wrong with you. What are you experiencing is common and normal. However, this workshop may not offer the structure or framing you need to reconnect with your body safely.

Workshop activities may include exercises for ancestral channeling, reflective journaling and drawing prompts, basic neurobiology/psycheducation, and role plays.

Meenadchi (they/them) has worked for over a decade in trauma services and crisis stabilization. Meenadchi’s NVC practice began in 2002, and it quickly became a natural fit to weave these magical tools for self-compassion and accountability into Meenadchi’s daily work. Meenadchi’s NVC practice lays the groundwork for a somatic and intersectional approach to communication, incorporating tools to divest from shame and to deepen interdependent vulnerability. Meenadchi is the author of the workbook Decolonizing Non-Violent Communication.
