Letters to the Future: Dances by Pregnant Choreographers

On the eve of the 2016 U.S. Presidential Election, Sarah Leddy organizes an evening of dances by artists transitioning into mama-hood. Choreographers include:  Andrea Gise, Rebeca Hernandez and Sarah Leddy in partnership with their mystery special guests.  

Sarah Leddy is a Los Angeles-based choreographer, performer and educator whose work draws upon ensemble dance and theater practices. Her dances have been presented at homeLA, Highways Performance Space, REDCAT Studio, and ARC’s Dance Dialogues.  She was a 2013 recipient of CHIME (Choreographers in Mentorship Exchange) along with Mentor Ros Warby. 

Admission is an offering or wish for the future, as well as any non-monetary donation to the FREE snack bar or FREE boutique. Suggested items include: dancer snacks (apples, jars of sugar free nut butter, rice cakes, avocados, nuts, chips, crackers), nice vacuum for the studio, natural dish soap and laundry detergent, Macbook pro charging cord, coffee, gaff tape in any color, printer paper for the studio, tea, art/dance books for our library, tennis balls, non-alcoholic drinks.
