Margit Galanter: Y: A Lecture Performance + Potluck
Sunday, Apr 18 2010
7:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Margit will be presenting her current performance research on Y, the ignition of multiplicity. Y symbolizes a splitting (of wood, of word). Y has been used as a symbol for the Androgyne, conjoined and rooted from the earth, branching into two (genders, beings). And if 2, then 3…. queer. Opening, Y splits cells, and is the moment of determination, indeed the beginning of language. S/he wonders, how does this Y speak the nature of the stage as page? How does language come? For more on Y
