ProjectQ Uses Hair as a Form Of Social Justice, by inviting queer youth of color to our Salon and Community Center.

There we give haircuts to housing insecure youth of color, the youth “PaY” for their haircuts by taking our free self empowering workshops like financial planning, meditation, and so much more. These workshops are taught by queer professionals of color in order to give our youth the representation they need to see themselves as the main character in their own story.

We are partnering with Pieter for their Monday Night Class series, inviting our community members to use their talents as a form of social justice. As a reminder to use everything in our power to make the world a more equitable place.

March 29: Using Strategic Questioning as a form of Social Justice with Noemi Hernandez

We will be talking about Strategic Questioning, as a way to unpack social justice issues. I will be facilitating discussions on what strategic questioning is, how we can make it a practice to ask questions and question answers. I will be guiding discussions on how questioning allows us to be critical of social justice issues such as racism.
