The 2019-2020 Monday Morning Class Series, welcomes back series initiator & curator Milka Djordjevich. MNC is an opportunity to take class with a rotating roster of artists with divergent movement practices and points of view. This season we are diving deep both in practice and performance. There are more chances to take class with each artist and the opportunity to see and/or participate in a performance. Nourish your practice and go deep.

Living in Desmadre
Join us for an eight week series on Monday nights at Pieter where we explore desmadre (messiness) as embodiment. Collectively, we will immerse ourselves in a fusion of Latin social dance techniques, dialogue, affect, and rasquache movement formations as a way of reveling in (un)known sites of belonging and dancing.
The classes will be composed of the different elements that our collective uses to contextualize our experiences. Come revel in quebradita stylings, salsa aesthetics, poc-chuc technique, and hybrid formations.
All levels class. Feel free to jump in whenever you can.
Primera Generación Dance Collective is a collaborative group based in Riverside, California and formed by Alfonso Cervera, Rosa Rodriguez-Frazier, Irvin Manuel Gonzalez and Patricia “Patty” Huerta that focuses on the visibilization of Mexican American corporeality through movement-based exploration, process and performance. The collective finds its roots in experimental choreography and research that focuses on Mexican American identity and it’s many marginalized connections.
