Description:
Combine the powerful experience of sound healing with hands on education! Intentionally ground, connect and release via intuitive movement and immerse in the sounds of crystal bowls, shakers, drums, chimes & a gong. Explore the instruments and choose one to play after light breath work & optional journaling.

What to expect/what to bring:
Doors Open at 1:15PM and close at 1:30PM. The workshop will start promptly at 1:30PM and late arrivals will not be admitted.
Guests can bring blankets, yoga mats, bolsters/pillows, ear plugs, eye masks, camping chairs: anything to promote physical comfort. Pieter will also have a limited number of yoga mats, blankets & pillows.
This workshop will be Queer and Trans affirming with freedom to stim, air purifiers, with the agenda provided in advance.

Facilitator bio:
Isazela "Zel" Amanzi (they/he), M.S.Ed, CYT is a Black, queer, trans, neuro-queer & chronically ill sacred energy educator. In their professional practice, Transgressive Medicine, he applies formal training in education, tantric yoga, meditation & breathwork, and western Reiki to the neurodiversity paradigm and disability justice, grounding their personal and teaching practices in counter-colonial praxis.
In addition to teaching classes, workshops & private sessions, Zel is a frequent guest speaker and collaborates with universities, publications, non-profits and mutual aid organizations to support energy workers dedicated to anti-oppression & facilitate energy work for liberation workers. Zel has been honored as an Accessible Yoga Advocate of the Year (2023) and a Voqal Fellow (2025), where he is developing the Digital Energy Work initiative. He is a co-founder of Trans Futures Collective and a proud author of Transcendence Affirmed: Poems and Affirmations in Celebration of Trans Life.
Accessibility note: The space is located on the 2nd floor with one flight of stairs directly up from the entrance. Elevator access is available; please email pieterrentals@gmail.com prior to the event if you will need to use it. The elevator is spacious enough for any mobility device and the 2nd floor space is free of any steps or mobility barriers. There are no automated doors in the building.
There are two all-gender restrooms with three private stalls and a urinal. Each restroom has one stall accessible for mobility device users.
Parking: Free parking is available directly behind our building at 2412 Workman Street. There is an additional city lot south of Broadway on Workman Street. There is also ample metered parking in the neighborhood.
