Pieter Performance Space is located in Lincoln Heights, Los Angeles, on the second floor of a historic brick building constructed in 1911. The studio is a roughly 3,000 square foot ballroom with hardwood floors, 20+ foot high ceilings, natural light, and cityscape views.
Space use includes access to two ADA accessible gender neutral restrooms. The studio is equipped with an aux cord and Bluetooth enabled sound system, blankets and yoga mats, adjustable heating/cooling systems, filtered water and a non-circulating community library. Enjoy bright, east-facing natural light from sunrise to sunset, and long, diagonal square sun spots during the last hours of the day.
Pieter joyfully shares the second floor with two community-based organizations, Gender Justice LA and Access to Prevention Advocacy Intervention & Treatment (APAIT).

Pieter has two gender neutral restrooms with three private stalls and a urinal. Each restroom has one stall accessible for mobility device users.
Pieter shares these restroom with two other organizations on the second floor.

Pieter is committed to accessibility for all bodies! The space is located on the second floor, up one flight of stairs or via a password-protected elevator. The studio and restrooms are free of steps and other mobility barriers.
Please note that there are no automated doors in the building.

Masks are encouraged in common spaces such as the bathrooms, lobby, stairwell, elevator and floormates’ office spaces, but not required.
Free masks and hand sanitizer are available in the shared hallway.
Renters may determine their own masking and safety protocols while in the studio.

During your rental, enjoy Pieter’s growing library of books and magazines related to dance and movement, somatics, art, philosophy, and politics.
Please be sure to keep all books in the Pieter studio!

Parking is available directly behind the building at 2412 Workman Street. There are two additional city lots south of Broadway on Workman Street. There are also free and metered parking spaces throughout the neighborhood.
