LA COUNTY ARTS & CULTURE INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY!
The Pieter/LA County Arts & Culture Internship is 20 hrs/week for 20 weeks (400-hours total) in exchange for a stipend of $7,388 ($18.47/hr) paid bi-weekly.
The Intern will support across a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to:
Programs and Studio Operations
Staff classes, workshops and special events (set-up, check-in, clean-up, etc)
Help to maintain the studio space
Run errands to support operations
Support backend of rental system (Squarespace & Acuity)
Communications, Marketing & Outreach
Reposting UGC (user generated content) to our social media accounts
Answer comments & direct messages on our social media accounts
Provide design support marketing materials via Canva
Distribution of marketing materials
Working outreach events with other staff
Submitting Pieter events, workshops and classes for marketing purposes
Outreach to local organizations for marketing and programming
Administration (Archival project)
Collect historic data and organize photos/videos for archive
Create program timelines from Pieter’s history
Development/Fundraising
Update database with renter, donor and other contact information (GiveButter)
Collect comprehensive info about prior donors and donor prospects
Support Grants (research & database)
The internship will include participation in staff meetings to learn how a small team works together to manage & grow programming, engage our community, and maintain operations.
The Pieter LA County Arts Intern will have weekly check-ins with their supervisor to set tasks, assess goals, identify challenges, and to share ongoing learnings and ideas.
By the end of the internship, this person will have a working knowledge of many aspects of running a small arts organization and be equipped with skills, self confidence, and adaptability as they move ahead in their arts careers!
This position reports to the Executive Director, and works closely with the full Pieter staff and Board.
