Description:
Patience practice is a movement meditation, a gentle somatic warm-up, and an awakening of ease and imagination.
What to expect/What to bring:
You will start lying down on the floor and work our way up from there. Bring warm layers to dance in, socks, water, a journal if you'd like!
Bio:
Jul Wiggins (they/them) is a movement artist from Bainbridge Island, Washington. They find purpose and joy in various combinations of improvisation, choreography, writing, analog and digital collages, experimental film and dreaming up larger scale multimedia performances. They have a BFA from Cornish College of the Arts and have performed in works by Charissa Kroeger, Stephanie Zaletel, and Kate Wallich.
Their choreography has been presented by SORORITY Theatre for Beverly Hills Pride, the Ghost Light Residency, and RGWW’s DIY Decameron Residency. Jul is a touring dancer and creative collaborator with Gelli Haha, and will be touring the US, Canada and Europe this spring and summer.
Accessibility Note:
The space is located on the 2nd floor with one flight of stairs directly up from the entrance. Elevator access is available; please email pieterrentals@gmail.com prior to the class if you will need it. The elevator is spacious enough for any mobility device and the 2nd floor space is free of any steps or mobility barriers. There are no automated doors in the building.
There are two all-gender restrooms with three private stalls and a urinal. Each restroom has one stall accessible for mobility device users.
Parking is available directly behind our building at 2412 Workman Street. There are two additional city lots south of Broadway on Workman Street. There is also ample metered parking in the neighborhood.
