Description: Movers of all kinds are welcome! This contemporary class has elements of modern, ballet, jazz, and yoga.
Class begins with a guided improvisation to connect your breath & movement together. You will build more heat with an energizing warmup followed by long stretches that leads us into a short mediation. The last half of class, you will learn a short phrase to get you moving across the floor. Followed by a combination full of intention, play, and storytelling.

Instructor Bio: Leslie Burn (she/her) grew up dancing in her hometown of Fort Worth, Texas. She trained at Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts and Texas Ballet Theater School. She then continued her training in New York City at the renowned Joffrey Ballet School. She danced for Earl Mosley’s Diversity of Dance & Elisa Monte Dance throughout New York City at venues like The Aaron Davis Hall, Apollo Theater, Brooklyn Museum, Red Bull Stadium & BAM Fisher Theater. She had the opportunity to be a part of the creative team for Donja R. Love’s play, In the Middle, as Assistant Movement Director under Tiffany Rea-Fisher. She can be seen in the music videos of artists Janelle Kroll, Karina, Yify Zhang, half·alive, & Tolliver. Since moving out to Los Angeles she has had the privilege of working with choreographers, Toogie Barcelo, Jillian Meyers, Kate Hutter Mason, and Charissa Kroeger. Leslie is currently signed with Go2Talent Agency.
Accessibility Note: The space is located on the 2nd floor with one flight of stairs directly up from the entrance. Elevator access is available; please email pieterpasd@gmail.com prior to event if you will be using it. The elevator is spacious enough for any mobility device and the 2nd floor space is free of any steps or mobility barriers. There are no automated doors in the building.
There are two all-gender restrooms with three private stalls and a urinal. Each restroom has one stall accessible for mobility device users.
Free parking is available directly behind our building at 2412 Workman Street. There are two additional free city lots south of Broadway on Workman Street. There is also ample metered parking in the neighborhood.
