Description: You are invited to Hodge Podge, an evening of dance and performance art.
Based in play, risk and experimentation, Hodge Podge aims to provide a platform for emerging LA based artists to share their work in an informal setting.
All proceeds from this event will be donated to Pieter Performance Space as a part of their current Emergency Fundraiser!

What to expect/what to bring:
The event will run for an hour and a half with a fifteen minute intermission.
Facilitator Bio:
Sarah Florez is a movement artist based in Los Angeles who focuses both on live performance art and dance for film.
She has danced for AFI films, Brockus MATCH Residency and for artists like Sha Crow, chokecherry, Avery Cochrane.She graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with minors in Dance, Psychology, and Ethnic Studies and a major in Sociology.
She was in Orchesis Dance Company, both as a dancer and choreographer. She also is the Communications and Design Manager at the Anti-Recidivism Coalition, a reentry organization that works to end mass incarceration.
Eva Watson is a movement artist based in Los Angeles California.
Graduating from California State University, Long Beach, with a BFA in dance, Eva was a recipient of the COTA Donald W. Leonard Endowed scholarship. She has taught at Spotlight School of Music, the Collegiate Conference of Movement Artists, and the Nevada Union High School Dance Department.
She has trained with Dance360 Chicago, Entity Dance Company and Dance Italia; DIG and Komoco Dance. Eva has had the honor of performing in works by VOLTA Collective, Azuki Umeda, Andrew Vaca, Jordan Isadore, Tori Cone and Jayde Spiegel. Her work has been featured at Highways Performance Space, the 2025 ACDA Gala, the Brockus MATCH Residency, Mashup Dance, “& when the heart opens,” the MixMatch Festival and “Show N’ Tell.”
As an artist, Eva aims to create multidisciplinary works, melding movement, vocal performance, studio art and theater.
Accessibility note:
The space is located on the 2nd floor with one flight of stairs directly up from the entrance.
Elevator access is available; please reach out to the facilitator prior to the event if you will need to use it. The elevator is spacious enough for any mobility device and the 2nd floor space is free of any steps or mobility barriers. There are no automated doors in the building.
There are two all-gender restrooms with three private stalls and a urinal. Each restroom has one stall accessible for mobility device users.
Parking:
Paid parking is available directly behind our building at 2412 Workman Street. There is an additional city lot south of Broadway on Workman Street. There is also ample metered parking in the neighborhood.
