Saturday Sessions: Exploring Constriction - An Afternoon of Introductory Rope Bondage with Kemo Burns

Description:

This workshop is tailored to audiences newer to rope and/or kink who feel called to explore the offerings of rope bondage!

The fundamental skills covered in this class are building blocks to a world of potential. Join us with or without a partner, as all of the curriculum can be done solo (Kemo can help facilitate pairings for those interested!).

This workshop is intended for the BIPOC and Queer/Trans communities.

18+ Only

What to expect/What to bring:

Please bring one yoga mat per pair, a water container, any comfort items that you may need after exposure to vulnerability (blanket, sweet treats, stuffed animal, etc), and arrive ready to learn!

Feel free to bring your preferred type of rope if you have it. Please keep in mind any allergies you have as there will be a limited amount of jute rope available to borrow for the workshop.

Facilitator Bio:

Kemo Burns (they/he) draws on their passion for rope and kink to create personalized experiences for the people they connect with. They have been studying rope for 7+ years and consider themself a perpetual student of rope, on top of being an educator.

Kemo first took classes locally in the greater Los Angeles area, and later invested in 1-on-1 instruction from leaders in the craft. Today, they continue their rope education by frequenting intensives and occasional private lessons, while remaining active in the local rope scene.

Kemo can often be found attending rope and kink events, munches and jams.

Accessibility note: The space is located on the 2nd floor with one flight of stairs directly up from the entrance. Elevator access is available; please email pieterrentals@gmail.com prior to the event if you will be using it. The elevator is spacious enough for any mobility device and the 2nd floor space is free of any steps or mobility barriers. There are no automated doors in the building.

There are two all-gender restrooms with three private stalls and a urinal. Each restroom has one stall accessible for mobility device users.

Parking: Free parking is available directly behind our building at 2412 Workman Street. There is an additional city lot south of Broadway on Workman Street. There is also ample metered parking in the neighborhood.
