In order to rent the studio at Pieter, all renters must first attend one of our in-person New Renter Orientations.
If you’ve rented before but it’s been awhile, please sign up to re-attend an orientation if your last orientation was before January 2025.
We reserve the right to cancel any bookings on the calendar made by renters who have not attended a Renter Orientation within the last year.
-
For detailed information on what is available to you in the studio, please review the Pieter Rental Handbook.
-
Community Renters are responsible for booking, rescheduling and canceling their own Community Rentals. To learn what qualifies as a Community Rental, visit the Community Rentals section of our Rentals page.
Full payment is required at the time of booking your rental appointment at Pieter.
Please sign up for a Pieter client account at the end of the booking process to ensure that you have access to all of your rentals in one place.
Use the same name and email every time you make an appointment.
Appointments can be booked 24 hrs in advance up to 90 days out on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Community Rental bookings over 6 hours are subject to increased hourly rates:
Every hour after 6 hours will be an additional:
$50/hr during weekdays
$70/hr during weekends
Community Rental bookings can be made for up to 8 hours and any bookings longer than 8 hours will need to be booked as a Special Event.
Special Events have a different booking process. To learn what qualifies as a special event and to get the special event booking process started, visit the Special Event Rentals section of our Rentals page.
-
Please fill out your required Renter Checklist at the end of your rental.
Every renter is required to fill out and sign a Renter Checklist at the end of every rental. This way, we can ensure all areas of the studio are checked, tidy & ready for the next renter.
This list includes things such as, but not limited to:
Turn off the speakers
Turn off the AC/Heat
Dry dust mop the floor/sweep up
Please make sure you take all of your belongings out of the studio, make sure all doors are locked and that you’ve left everything “better than you found it”.
-
Maximum capacity for our Community Rentals program is 50 people per rental booking.
If you plan to have more than 50 people in the space during your rental, this qualifies as a Special Event Rental. Please visit the Special Event Rentals section of our Rentals page for more information.
-
After booking your rental you will be able to cancel or reschedule your appointment on your own via the links found in your confirmation email.
Please do not delete your confirmation emails, in case you need to make changes to your appointment.
Cancelation Policies
• Canceling 10 or more days in advance of your rental: 10% cancellation fee
• Canceling 48 hours to 10 days in advance: 25% cancellation fee
• Canceling with less than 48 hour notice: No refund
Refunds will be reimbursed after canceling via your confirmation email. Please allow 5-10 business days for funds to return.
Note: Our refund policy does not include the 1.5% -3% payment processing fee that Square and PayPal take. Your refund may be less than the original payment issued due to these fees.
Rescheduling:
You can reschedule appointments up to 48 hrs before the appointment date, up to 90 days in advance.
Please be mindful of other renters and try to reschedule well in advance of your booking. The sooner you know you won’t be using the space, the sooner you should reschedule and free that time up for other renters to book that slot!
If we find a renter is habitually holding time slots and rescheduling for the future, we may need to discuss and adjust their rental appointments.
If you have any questions about cancellations, rescheduling or refunds, please email pieterrentals@gmail.com

Community
We’re so lucky to be located in the vibrant neighborhood of Lincoln Heights, a predominantly and historically Brown neighborhood that is being gentrified everyday.
We ask that you remember this when you are in the neighborhood by patronizing the amazing shops and restaurants around PIeter! Be respectful of our neighbors and consider the ways in which you take up space.
Keep Pieter’s home neighborhood safe by being aware of ICE movement around the studio. Take a look at our NO ICE in LA resources page for ways that you can help!
Security
Access to Pieter is granted through a key code and lockbox system.
Keep the front doors closed in the evening.
Do not share access information with anyone who has not signed a liability form.
