Renting from Pieter is more than renting space, it's an invitation to join our community! We offer a Community Rentals Program for smaller offerings and a Special Events Program for larger scale events. Read on to learn more about which category your rental falls into!

Read through our Community Agreement and Mission to get a better understanding of who we are as an organization and to ensure that your values are in alignment with those of Pieter Performance Space!

What is a Community Rental?

Activities that fall under our Community Rental program include, but are not limited to:

  • Rehearsals/practice

  • Workshops

  • Classes

These gatherings must be:

  • Bookings of 50 people or less

  • Bookable within the 90 day window of our Community Rental calendar

  • 6 hours or less

Renters in this category must adhere to the following rules:

  • Renters must attend a New Renter Orientation prior to renting space. REGISTER

  • No vending or catering of food or drink in the space (but bringing your own snacks and drinks are fine!)

  • Leaving the space better than you found it! This includes taking out the trash after your rental, checking toiletries stock in the bathrooms and returning movable items in the studio to their original spots.

  • Being mindful of noise levels during business hours. (Monday through Friday, 9AM to 5PM)

  • Managing your own rental appointments. (Booking, rescheduling, canceling)

What is a Special Event Rental?

Activities that fall under Special Events include, but are not limited to:

  • Bookings of 51+ people expected attendance

  • Bookings taking place further than 90 days out (Community Rentals are limited to a 90 day booking window)

  • Ceremonies (weddings, private parties, etc.)

  • Events that include catering and/or vending

  • Gallery showings

  • Commercial Film & photo shoots

  • Consecutive multi-day bookings longer than 6 hours

  • Any booking requiring additional space outside of the Studio

Renters in this category must adhere to the following rules:
